The former Brainerd Jaycees Run for the Lakes Marathon has become the Brainerd Jaycees Run for the Lakez Marathon in 2010.
As the headline sponsor, Zorbaz on Gull Lake will be the location of the spaghetti feed, keynote speakers and pre-post party events.
Additionally, the marathon has partnered with Grand View Lodge, which will host the Health and Fitness Expo, vendor booths, race registration and packet pick-up.
"We are excited for the new partnerships," marathon spokesperson Sarah Sellnow said in a news release. "Zorbaz and Grand View Lodge will provide a new atmosphere in our third running of the event."
As in years past the race will start and end in Nisswa, and include a run around the lakes, incorporating the Paul Bunyan Trail.
Other sponsors that have signed on for the 2010 event include C & L Distributing, Brainerd Lakes Health and Lakes Printing at the Gold Level.
At the Silver Level are Lake Country Journal, Lakewood Bank and Spectrum Marketing Services.
Dairy Queen, Schaefer's Foods and Winners Trophy are at the Bronze Level.
"We are appreciative of the community support and we're excited for the upcoming annual event," 2010 chairperson Heidi Hagen said in a news release.
